Kindergarten through 5th grade

Kindergarten at Adams County Christian Academy is a time of academic and social growth.  For many of our students, this is the first time they will go to school for a full day.  Through tender nurturing, these young students adjust to life as full-time students and the world of knowledge begins to open up for them.  Our Reading and Language Arts program lays the foundation for language skills and takes the students on the path to reading.  Through daily Bible lessons and weekly chapels, students learn about God’s word and the truth it contains.  Math skills begin to solidify and Science and Social studies lead to exploration of the world God created.

Interactions across grade levels keep students connected as one family, and enrich the learning environment.  Our STEAM initiative allows students to develop the 21st Century skills of communication, critical thinking, creativity and collaboration that are vital to success in school and future careers. Multi-grade Physical Education, Computer, Music and Spanish classes give these young students opportunities to work alongside other elementary students while learning valuable life skills.

Special events such as Grandparent’s Day, Prayer Buddies, programs and all-school chapels give opportunities for Kindergarten students to interact with others across all grades and share what they are learning.

Kindergarten at ACCA is open to students who are 5 years old by September 1 of the year of entrance.

A screening for readiness is required prior to enrollment approval.  Screenings should be scheduled in the office no later than July of the year for which you are seeking admittance.

“Adams County Christian Academy is a school where the philosophy and atmosphere are Christ-centered.  The values of the home are strengthened by developing a parent-teacher relationship that supports parent roles in their child’s education.  Small student-teacher ratios create a safe, positive learning environment with solid academics.”
